When my mother-in-law, Barbara, asked if I would be interested in photographing her good friend’s daughter, Kiara, I remembered the summer I met Kiara. This shining Senior was just 10 years old at the time, coming over to my in-laws house with her mother for a summer swim. She was sweet, a bit shy, with a kind smile.
Eight years later and Kiara has grown into a beautiful and talented woman. In our short interaction with each other, I learned that she plays trumpet for the Temple High School band, loves art, and wants to work towards a degree in some type of therapy in which she can use her love of art to help children (don’t worry, I encouraged her to become a speech-language pathologist!).
Kiara, I have no doubt that you will be successful at whatever you set your mind to!! You are radiant, inside and out, and your gentle spirit will make you the perfect person for working with children – now go dominate!
Balancing on life’s track to new destinations,
HK
