Houston Texas Engagement Photographer at The Honeymoon Cafe & Bar and Discovery Green
It was a beautiful, mild, sunny day in downtown Houston at The Honeymoon Cafe and Bar. I settled in a bit early with a decaf Americano (because as much as I’d like to be one of coffee-round-the-clock types, I just can’t handle caffeine after 12:00) and eagerly awaited the arrival of Lisa and Peter. I could not wait to get behind my camera with these two!
And here’s why: Lisa and Peter know how to make each other smile. But not the type of smile that comes from politeness or obligation, nervousness or the fact that they had a lens two feet from their faces.
No. This kind of smiling only exists where genuine love and compassion reside. And friends, let me tell you, it resides deeply in their hearts; both for each other and for the world.
Their’s is a kind of love that illuminates first with a smile, then with laughter.
Filling a space with warmth, then with joy.
With comfort.
And tenderness.
Lisa and Peter, your love spreads beyond the confines of a four-walled room. Your smiles, laughter, warmth, joy, comfort, and tenderness seeps under the cracks and envelopes those around you in the goodness that is your love.
May you use that love to enrich the lives of others as you embark on the journey towards marriage. I am so, so happy for you both.
After enjoying our lattes, we headed over to Discovery Green for an evening stroll and picnic. A perfect ending to an amazing shoot.
Latte and laughter,
HK
