Being a Houston wedding photographer provides the unique opportunity of capturing the love of some extraordinary couples in a variety of beautiful settings. Jassyel and Jonathan were certainly no exception, and their wedding at The Grove was nothing short of a dream come true.
Jassyel’s glowing, natural makeup was done by the talented Almayra Ordaz and her flowing curls with a simple braid were completed by Kristopher Metcalf.
Walking into the hotel room in which Jassyel was getting ready, I immediately sensed feelings of warmth and excitement. Jassyel’s curls were carefully pinned, her maid of honor greeted me with an amazing smile, and little hints of sparkle were glimmering in every corner.
This two piece dress by Watters from Brickhouse Bridal had me swooning… A jeweled bodice paired with a light and layered skirt looked absolutely stunning on Jassyel’s tall figure and complimented her hair and makeup perfectly! Gorgeous…!
From Jassyel’s bejeweled wedding gown,
to the Tiffany rings,
to the rhinestone shoes,
every detail twinkled with utter delight.
Jassyel chose shades of nude for her bridesmaids attire. The sequined details on their gowns complimented the jewels on Jassyel’s wedding gown beautifully.
While the girls primped and curled, the guys ventured across the street to Discovery Green for photos.
The soft blush and nude florals were done by Lary’s Florist & Designs.
Seriously, Jassyel! STUNNING.
The mix of garden greens with a steel urban landscape and neutral wedding colors was a dream…
The ceremony took place on the second floor balcony at The Grove just before sunset. The sun glowed so softly through the paper flowers at the alter, done by Balushka. The details and intricacy of the paper flowers, seen throughout the wedding day decor, were truly impressive!
A quick shout out to my outstanding second shooter, Lauren, who captured some amazing shots of Jonathan and his groomsmen! Thank you!
Jassyel and Jonathan opted to see each other for the first time at the alter, and his expression was so tender as Jassyel made her way down the aisle on her father’s arm.
Kinsmen Productions provided videography of the day.
It was a lovely sunset ceremony, with words spoken by dear friends and family…
… rings exchanged …
… and sealed with a kiss.
As a Houston wedding photographer, I will never tire of photographing the expansive oak trees found throughout this city! LOVE!
The celebration continued within the glass walls of the second floor at The Grove as the sun made its final decent.
The cakes were masterfully completed by Edible Designs by Jessie.
Egna from A Particular Event ensured that every detail was in place and that the event ran smoothly from start to finish! Egna, your sweet smile and kind personality made the day that much better! You were a gem to work with!
A Houston wedding photographer also sees a fair share of mariachi bands, and I will never complain about that!
Rogelio from LG Entertainment kept the dance party alive all night!
Jassyel and Jonathan, your wedding was a night to remember! Your sweet love for each other outshone all the amazing details of the day. I wish you the very best as you move forward in your marriage.
Paper and sparkle,
HK
