I’ve known Sat Purkh literally since the day I was born. She was (and still is) my spunky, cool Aunt Chiara. My dad’s youngest sister who was always more of a play-mate to all of us cousins than the boring adults who were telling us to go to bed. She always used to tease Ashton (my closest cousin) and I that we would most likely get married before her. And although she was right, I’m glad that she waited until she found the perfect man before she decided to marry.
They met at a yoga workshop in Minneapolis, where my aunt was teaching. And it wasn’t until 2 years later that they would begin their conversation up again – and this time to fall in love. Sat Purkh was meditating and heard a voice that told her “your husband is coming”. Then in 21 days she received an email from him, the man from the yoga workshop, just checking in to see how she was and to say “hello”.
Well, “hello” turned into many more words and exchanges that would lead them to where they are now. Married, and happy 🙂
