\"Jack_<\/a><\/p>\n

I arrived at Jack’s home a couple of minutes early and, to his parents surprise, he was still sleeping. Which, I’m thinking, means he will still be snuggled up in his pajamas when he wakes, most likely a little hungry and wanting some extra cuddles. All of which are the\u00a0perfect<\/em> setup in my mind for a 1 year portrait session, allowing me to do what I LOVE to do: capture reality.<\/p>\n

And reality means that your toddler might still be asleep when the photographer arrives. Reality means that he might be teething and drool through a shirt or two. Reality means he might be taking over the house, grabbing remote controls and pulling every book off the shelf.<\/p>\n

But reality – as messy, joyful, and imperfect as it can be – is what needs to be stilled. Locked into your memory, captured in a photo.<\/p>\n
