The Freckled Key Photography is an in home newborn photographer based in Houston, TX.<\/p>\n

“Aslan,” said Lucy, “you’re bigger.”<\/p>\n

“That is because you are older, Little One,” said he.<\/p>\n

“Not because you are?”<\/p>\n

“I am not, but every year you grow, you will find me bigger.”<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

I walked quietly into Reese’s nursery to take a few snapshots of her space and the above quote\u00a0(From Lay Baby Lay<\/a>) from C.S. Lewis’s novel, Prince Caspian<\/em>,<\/em>\u00a0was the first piece that captured my attention. It was beautifully scripted and cheerfully pink in this new little girl’s room, yes, but I couldn’t help but pause and ponder.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

Because it’s true, isn’t it, that with each year we age we gain in wisdom but we also realize how much bigger the world is, and how much we have\u00a0yet<\/em> to learn.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

And as a newborn, the\u00a0whole world<\/em> is new. Reese, you have yet to learn that clouds are formed from risen water.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

That giraffes have black tongues.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

That puppy breath is oddly one of the sweetest smells.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

That your toes are used to help you balance while you walk.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

Your eyes have yet to see the broad spectrum of the rainbow.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

Your hands of yet to feel the grit and dampness of dirt.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

Your tongue\u00a0has yet to taste the bitterness of a lemon, your nose has yet to smell the sweetness of star jasmine in Spring.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

But, sweet girl, you do know the sound of your mother’s voice.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

The touch of her hands.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

The smell of her hair.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a>\"In<\/a>\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

You know the sound of your brother’s feet stomping on the carpet…<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a><\/p>\n

…and your dad’s laugh.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a> \"In<\/a> \"In<\/a> \"In<\/a><\/p>\n

You most assuredly know that you are deeply loved. And that is perhaps the most important thing you will ever know – the rest will come with time, with years, with experiences.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/a> \"In<\/a> \"In<\/a> \"In<\/a> \"In<\/a> \"In<\/a> \"In<\/a><\/p>\n

May you ever be full of wonder and awe, because the world is truly so much bigger than we can fully grasp.<\/p>\n
