Eric was one of the first people Scott and I met when we moved to Houston 4 years ago. He welcomed us into his home within our first week of moving here and quickly became one of our closest friends. He has seen Scott and I through thick and thin and everywhere in between in our married life and loved us through it all. I was halfway through grad school, helping my husband lead a small group at our church, and had just lost two dear friends, one to cancer and one had moved out of the state. Emily swooped in and has since become a very cherished friend.
