Sweet Fiel was born in June. You met her lovely parents, Kate & Steven, when I posted Kate’s maternity photos<\/a>. Fiel’s newborn session was one of the first in which I fully embraced my desire to photograph life as it is – to take a step back from the scene and capture true emotion in an environment that is familiar to my clients. I put on my 70-200mm and stood in the background, providing instruction only to place them in the best light possible for the room, and I am absolutely convinced that this is a technique and style that I will embrace from here on out! My photography philosophy has always been to capture “real” and “candid” moments, which I feel we have done, but I want to even more so still the rawness<\/em> of life, to take a step back and click my shutter when the moment is right rather than trying to create moments.<\/p>\n
